In the beginning…
God creates man in His image, after
His kind, which means that man was
created in the likeness of God’s character.
God states that His purpose for creating
man is to make man His representative
ruler over creation.
This man, Adam, is placed in a garden
called Eden and provided with a woman
who would be his helpmate. Adam was to
represent God’s character, and adhere to
God’s wisdom by following God’s Word
and ruling/blessing the other creatures
from the land which God had established
him. The structure of God’s rule over
creation is ordered by God’s Word to the
man through the woman.
